The seed for Karissa Metzger in the 100-yard breaststroke heading into the state swim meet. Metzger finished 8th in that race last year, earning Republic’s first-ever medal. She will also swim in the 200-yard individual medley, where she’s seeded 13th.

The number of times Kaemyn Bekemeier has scored at least 37 points in a game during her three-year career. Before last year, when Bekemeier scored 37 for the first time, no Lady Tiger had ever scored more than 36 points in a game.

The number of consecutive three-pointers made by Hope Schatz during a two-game stretch last week. Schatz made all eight of her three-point attempts at Willard, setting a new school record. She made her first three-pointer at Joplin, giving her nine consecutive made threes, an unofficial school record.

The number of Republic athletes who committed to play college sports at the most recent signing ceremony at RHS. Tyler Burks and Cole Iles will play baseball at Moberly Area Community College. Eternity Knotts will play basketball at William Penn University. Elsie Crawford will play tennis at William Jewell College. And Trysten Hart will play football at Pittsburg State University.
