The entire Republic swim team will cap its season at the Class 1 state championship in St. Peters. All three members of Republic’s team – Seth Lock, Bryce Martin, and Brady Lewis – made the cut for at least one event.
Martin will compete in two events. His time of 2:03.78 in the 200-yard individual medley, is the 12th-fastest in Class 1, out of 32 competitors in the event. He’s also ranked 12th going into the 100-yard backstroke, where he qualified with a time of 56.71.
Lock and Lewis will both compete in the 100-yard butterfly, seeded 22nd and 24th, respectively. Lock’s qualifying time was 57.10, and Lewis’s best time in the event this year was 57.49.
The state swim championship is scheduled for November 11-13 at the Rec-Plex in St. Peters, Missouri.
