Republic volleyball returned home to pick up a quick win over Springfield Parkview in three sets Monday, 25-6, 25-17, 25-3.
Coach Allison Davis said she took some positives from the lopsided win as her team prepares to return to conference play later this week.
“(It was) an opportunity to get all my kids in. Everybody on my bench was able to play, and it’s exciting to see that,” she said. “And you couldn’t tell the difference. That’s how strong our team is, and that’s a positive thing. I’m really excited about that.”
Rilynn Finley had ten kills to lead Republic. Kailey Manes had three blocks, and Claire Esther and Payge Plank each had three service aces. Plank also led Republic with eight digs and 32 assists.
The JV and freshman teams also both won in two sets.
Republic’s varsity team is 16-5.
