One day after clinching the regular-season Central Ozark Conference championship, Republic’s tennis team topped the league once again – this time in the one-day COC Tournament. Of the four brackets – two singles and two doubles – Republic won three of them and finished second in the other.
Elsie Crawford was crowned COC individual champ with her victory in the #1 singles bracket. Jasmine Howard swept through her bracket as well, winning the #2 singles title. Mia Stan and Izzy Wells were the winners of the #2 doubles bracket. Abby McCord and Morgan Lewis finished second in the #1 doubles bracket, losing in the championship match.
The 11-1 record in tournament matches was the best COC performance ever for the Republic girls tennis program.
