Corrected to change the records broken. A previous version had credited Seth Lock with a new record in the 100 yard freestyle (55.53), but the record remains 54.00 (Bryce Martin in 2020-21).
Two more school swim records fell over the weekend, as the three Tiger swimmers were in action in Springfield. Both record-setting performances happened on Friday, when Bryce Martin topped Seth Lock’s old record in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing in a time of 1:09.21. Martin also topped Lock’s old mark in the 50 yard freestyle, with a time of 23.55.

The highest finish for the Tigers on Friday was Martin’s second-place finish in the 50 yard freestyle.
On Saturday at the Ozarks Invitational, with 16 schools competing, each of Republic’s three swimmers placed fourth in at least one event: Martin in the 200 yard individual medley, Lock in the 50 yard freestyle, and Lewis in the 100 yard butterfly.
