The Lady Tigers tennis team continued its win streak with a milestone victory in Springfield Tuesday. Republic knocked off Springfield Catholic for the first time ever in a head-to-head match, winning 6-3.
Abby McCord had a key win in singles play, winning a tiebreaker match against Lila Griesemer, 9-8 (7-2). Jasmine Howard, Morgan Lewis, and Izzy Wells also picked up singles wins.
Republic has won six in a row, and improved its overall record to 11-2. The Lady Tigers are home against Webb City Thursday, and they’ll celebrate Senior Night starting around 4 pm.
