Republic’s swimmers cut time from their previous season bests in every event, and Brady Lewis set a school record in one of them at the Como Invitational in Columbia,. Lewis finished the 100 yard butterfly in 57.49, setting a new school record. It’s the first time Lewis has owned an individual school record. (He’s part of two relay records.)
In the same event, Lock cut nearly four seconds off his previous season best, finishing in 1:00.27.
In the 200 yard individual medley, Bryce Martin cut 2.26 of his previous season best, finishing in 2:14.95.
In the 50 yard freestyle, Lock finished in 24.02. That cuts .38 off his time.
Lewis and Martin both shaved time in the 100 yard backstroke. Lewis finished in 1:00.67 (-2.57) and Martin in 1:01.26 (-1.29).
