Republic scored 26 runs on just eight hits in a lopsided softball decision at Reeds Spring Tuesday, 26-0. EmmaLee Essary and Sammi Watson both worked in the circle, with Essary picking up the win. Essary and Watson didn’t allow a hit and Republic didn’t commit an error during the win.
The Lady Tigers drew 13 walks and were hit by pitches 11 times in three innings, accounting for much of their scoring. Emma Robinson and Ella Tattershall were each hit three times.
Essary and Addison Walker were the only two Republic batters to record two base hits. Jenna Belcher scored four runs and stole two bases.
