The Republic spring tennis season ended with a district loss at Willard Tuesday night. Willard won five matches to clinch the victory and advance to the district championship.
The closest match of the night was a doubles battle between Drew McMillin/Markus Mitchell and Willard’s Alex Crawford/Austin Long. Crawford and Long eked out a victory, 8-6.
The match was the last high school competition for four seniors: McMillin, Ian Deckard, Scott Parker, and Jacob Moody.
