Deckard and McMillinIan Deckard and Drew McMillin overcame a championship point and reeled off four straight games to win the doubles championship at the Waynesville Tournament Friday. The Republic duo trailed 5-7 against Willow Springs and was one point away from elimination, but Deckard and McMillin won that point, went on to capture that game, when won three more in a row to win the championship match 9-7.

The Tigers finished fourth out of ten teams overall.

In the #1 singles flight, Braden Snyder finished sixth. In #2 singles, Scott Parker lost his first match, then won two in a row to finish fifth. Garrett Carpenter and Chase Elder, completing in the #2 doubles flight, finished sixth.

The doubles championship for Deckard and McMillin is the first doubles title for Republic at the Waynesville Tournament since 2015, when Michael Nacy and Brad Hendrix won the championship.
