Karissa Metzger already owned the school record for the 100 yard freestyle. Friday night, she blew that one out of the water and took down another record while she was at it, besting the previous mark held by Mady McCrea.
But Metzger wasn’t finished. Today at the Ozarks Invitational, she finished second in the 200 yard individual medley in a field of 49 swimmers. Her time of 2:22.74 was not a school record, but she knocked more than seven seconds off her own previous best time in the event.
