Senior Night – Softball

Republic honored six seniors on Senior Night. “They’ve seen a lot of softball, and they’ve done a lot for the softball program,” coach Lee Dishman said. “They’re going to go down as one of the best senior classes we’ve ever had. Not only do they earn it on the softball field, they’re up in the classroom working their tails off. They’re leaders in the classroom and on the softball field, so it means a lot.”

Kaitlyn Ragsdale was escorted by her parents, David and Patricia Ragsdale. Kaitlyn plays shortstop and has played softball at Republic for four years. She is a member of the National Honor Society, A+ Program, and the Athletic Leadership Council, as well a member of Republic’s girls basketball and track teams. Kaitlyn is undecided where she will attend college, but she plans to study nursing.

Emma White was escorted by her parents, Jeff and Shanda White. Emma plays second base and has played softball at Republic for four years. She is a member of the National Honor Society, A+ Program, and FCCLA. Megan plans to attend Missouri State University and study business.

Claire Summers was escorted by her parents, Mark and Amy Summers. Claire plays first base and has played softball at Republic for four years. She is a member of the National Honor Society, the A+ Program, Key Club, and Republic’s high school choir. Claire plans to attend Drury University and study architecture.

A.J. Fenske was escorted by her parents, Benjy and Cindy Fenske. A.J. plays third base and has played softball at Republic for four years. She is a member of the National Honor Society, A+ Program, Key Club, and Republic’s track and field team. Avery plans to attend Truman State University or St. Louis University and study biology and chemistry.

Avery Romans was escorted by her parents, Billy and Christina Romans. Avery plays first base and pitcher and has played softball at Republic for four years. She is a member of the A+ Program. Avery plans to attend Missouri Southern State University and study physical therapy.

Alex Creech was escorted by her parents, Ronnie and Cindi Creech. Alex plays outfield and has played softball at Republic for four years. She is a member of the A+ Program. Alex plans to attend Ozarks Technical Community College and study culinary arts.
