There are tough district assignments, then there’s Missouri football’s Class 5 District 6. The district contains two defending state champions – Webb City, which moved up from Class 4 after winning the title last year, and Carthage, which won Class 5 in 2019. It also contains Republic, along with Branson, Neosho, and Ozark.
The other area Class 5 football district contains Central, Glendale, Lebanon, Parkview, Waynesville, and Willard.
Tennis
In tennis, Republic catches a break by falling into Class 2 in the state’s new three-class alignment. The Tigers and Lady Tigers had been competing against the state’s largest schools in Class 2 in previous years.
Republic will host the district tournament this year. Other schools are Carl Junction, Hillcrest, Neosho, Parkview, Webb City, and Willard.
Volleyball
In volleyball, Republic competes against three of the best programs in the state in Class 5 District 11: Kickapoo, Nixa, and Ozark.
Softball

Soccer
Republic soccer will compete in Class 5 District 12. The Tigers will square off against conference rivals Carthage, Joplin, and Nixa in that tournament.
