Four Republic swim records fell the last time the Tigers were in the pool. One relay mark and three individual records went down during the Tigers’ meet in Springfield.
The 200 yard medley relay team of Bryce Martin, Seth Lock, Shael Wilson, and Easton Bruton swam their race in 1:58.23. That shaved .22 seconds off the record time the same four swimmers put up earlier this season.
Seth Lock beat his own team record in the 50 yard freestyle after breaking it the previous week. He finished in 24.65 seconds. The record coming into this season had belonged to lock, but it was .26 seconds slower.
In the 100 yard butterfly, Lock set a second individual record of the weekend, with a time of 1:05.91. That’s four seconds faster than the record time he -osted last season.
Bryce Martin finished first in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 1:02.22, breaking his own record by 1.01.
