The Lady Tigers volleyball team opened their season with a busy day at the Branson Invitational. Republic went 4-2 in pool play, finishing second in their pool in the morning. In bracket play, the Lady Tigers lost two close sets to Carthage before suffering a loss to host Branson.
Coach Allison Davis said the long day of volleyball was good to prepare her young team for what’s coming.
“We’ve had a ton of practices and the girls just wanted to put what we’ve been working on into play in a game-like situation,” Davis said. “Having the opportunity to play so many games in one setting was an awesome experience for the girls, just to get us ready for the regular season.”
