“Emma has started on varsity for me since her Freshman year. Pearce came into soccer a little raw, but had so much determination and drive that it just caught my eye right off. She wanted to always work to make not only herself better, but her teammates as well. She surprises me each year she plays this game. She has true leadership qualities and is a great teammate. She is always wanting to help others get better and help teach them skills to the game, while wanting to learn more herself.
“Pearce does not have the standout stats, but she does so much for our team. She leads, works, and guides our team through tough games. Last year against Kickapoo we were tied 0-0 and she was working so hard, she finally caught the Kickapoo defender off guard, won the ball from her and beat the keeper for a goal. It was a standout play for her that shows how hard a worker she is.”
