The Republic Community Foundation has opened its online application process for grants related to COVID-19 response and recovery.

The foundation recently pledged up to $20,000 to assist Republic-based organizations. Of the pledged money, $10,000 comes in the form of direct grants from the Republic Community Foundation. That money had been scheduled for distribution this month at the RCF banquet, but in response to the coronavirus and the related shutdown, the foundation’s board voted to re-open applications to prioritize response efforts.

Requests for funding from RCF directly are limited to $5,000. Grants received must be spent within three months of receipt. The application deadline is June 1, but applications will be reviewed as they’re received.

The Republic Community Foundation is also pledging up to $10,000 additionally as matching funds for Republic groups who win funding from the larger Community Foundation of the Ozarks grant-making effort. The offer to match funds is intended to give a boost to applications submitted by Republic groups. The CFO has said it will give priority to grant applications which have some promise of matching money attached. You can find more details about how the matching funds work in this article.
