It’s been quite a winter for Republic athletics, and one team is still alive. The Lady Tigers basketball team swept into the state quarterfinals, where they play this evening for a second consecutive berth in the final four. They have a rematch with Columbia Rock Bridge, the team they defeated last season in the quarterfinals, on the same floor at Southwest Baptist University. The Lady Tigers’ sectional win over Kickapoo was their 20th win of the season. It’s the eighth time in the past ten seasons that the Lady Tigers have won at least 20 games.
