High school media members have named Republic offensive lineman Haiden Moody to their all-state football team, joining the state high school coaches association in recognizing the Republic lineman. Both groups named Moody to the all-state second team in Class 5 as an offensive lineman.
“Haiden has a lot of athleticism for a player his size. He was a consistent and physical presence for us this year on an offensive line that had a really good year and performed at a high level,” said coach Dustin Baldwin. “Haiden also increased his leadership this season, helping to make others better around him.”
Moody was one of four Republic players to earn a spot on the all-area team in southwest Missouri. Coaches selected Moody to the first team. Running back Riley Sigman was on the second team. Quarterback Lucas Hayes and lineman Logan Fahrlander were named to the third team.
Moody, Fahrlander, Sigman, Hayes, and defensive lineman Cody Morehouse earned a spot on the all-district team.
It’s an indicator of the strength of the Central Ozark Conference that just two players –Moody and Sigman – earned second-team all-conference honors in the COC. Three others – Fahrlander, Hayes, and Claye White – made the third team.
Seven players earned a spot on the Class 5 Academic All-State team: Hayes, Gavin Walker, Cory Norman, Dalton Parks, Marco Donjuan, Justin Sturdevant, and Evan Smith.
