No one is off to a hotter start this winter than junior guard Drew McMillin. Not only is he averaging more than 20 points per game, his no-look pass to Tucker Thomas set up the game-winning basket in Republic’s overtime win over Rogersville. And just for good measure, McMillin launched a spin-around 80-footer to beat the buzzer at the end of the third quarter in that same game.
In the first half of Republic’s game against Park Hill South, McMillin lit up the Panthers for 14 points before Park Hill South began guarding him man-to-man in a diamond-and-one defense. He finished with a game-high 22.
