When discussing the question of who’s on a hot streak, it may seem odd to answer with a team that lost its last game. But despite a four-point loss to Ozark in the Pink & White Tournament, the Lady Tigers have played some of their best basketball of the year in the week since Christmas.
It was around this time last year that the Lady Tigers came alive in the Pink & White, and they rode that momentum to the Show-Me Showdown. This year’s tournament started with a win over Spokane, but Republic followed that up by beating Strafford – something no other team had done for four years. No matter what happens today in the tournament’s third-place game, the Lady Tigers will have out-performed their seed, and will be looking to build off their Pink & White momentum when the season hits high gear in January.
