Three races. Three medals. Nobody’s riding a hotter start in Republic than cross country runner Mihane Nambara. Nambara finished 13th out of 230 runners in the season opener at Bolivar. She medaled with an 18th-place finish at the Raymore-Peculiar Cross Country Invitational. Then she topped both those performances with a first-place finish at Willard, bringing home the gold with a time of 20:27.70 at the Willard Highline Invitational. That was 33 seconds ahead of the runner-up.
Several Republic runners also grabbed medals that day – Aaliyah Vasquez, Jasmyn Douglas, Miku Nambara, and Ethan Hayes.
