Republic came from behind in two of its three doubles matches, then put the hammer down to finish a sweep of Carthage in a 9-0 rout at home Thursday. In three matches this week against Central Ozark Conference opponents, Republic has won 26 of 27 matches.
In singles play, Elsie Crawford overcame a 5-4 deficit to win 85. Abby McCord won her match 8-0.
In doubles, Carly McAtee and Hannah Morgan continued to dominate, taking their match 8-1.
The JV won 18 of 21 matches, as well.
Republic’s overall record is 5-1. The Lady Tigers are 5-0 in conference play and 3-0 against district opponents.
Republic hosts its annual JV tournament Friday, starting at noon. The Lady Tigers travel to Willard Tuesday for a 4 pm match.
