The 12U Republic Rays baseball team, coached by Shawn Burks, recently traveled to Destin, Florida to compete in the USSSA Global World Series. The Rays went 4-0 in bracket play, winning by a margin of 36-6. The Rays pitched a perfect game in the semifinals, beating SWA Storm from Thompson Station, Tennessee 5-0. In the championship game, Republic Rays dominated the Legends from Murfreesboro, Tennessee 10-2.
