Ten wins. Zero losses. And one regular-season match remaining for the Lady Tigers.
The Republic tennis team won its tenth match of the year Thursday night on the road against Webb City. The final score was 7-2.
The evening got off to a rough start for both teams when a seemingly clear day suddenly turned soggy. A single storm cloud settled over the courts for about 10 minutes — long enough to cause a delay, and forcing two of the doubles matches inside.
The Central Ozark Conference championship will be decided by a match between Republic and Ozark, next Tuesday at Ozark. Play begins at 4:30 p.m.
Before that, the Lady Tigers will compete in the Nixa varsity tournament Friday.
