The Lady Tigers fell behind 2-0 after the first inning. They trailed 3-1 after two. But Republic scored two runs in the third, one in the fourth, and three in the fifth to take a 7-3 lead. They tacked on two more insurance runs in the sixth inning to account for the final margin.
Avery Romans was the winning pitcher, allowing three runs in seven innings. She struck out four and didn’t walk a batter.
