The Pittsburg, Kansas, Dragons traveled a long way to play a weeknight match at Republic, and they didn’t waste the trip. The Dragons swept Republic in both the junior varsity and varsity matches.
Playing best-three-of-five sets, Pittsburg won the varsity match 25-10 25-18 25-17. Emma Duvall led Republic with four kills. Rylee Moseman had ten assists, and Emma Pearce added nine digs.
The JV match went to Pittsburg 25-21 26-24.
Republic’s varsity falls to 1-6-3 overall.
