Republic senior McKae Geromini has committed to run cross country and track at Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa. Geromini signed her letter of intent on the Graceland campus after a visit earlier in the year. She says the idea of running competitively in college didn’t occur to her until the end of her junior year, and that’s when she started evaluating her options.
“Graceland has a tight-knit community feel that I fell in love with,” she says. “The class sizes are small, so academically for me, it is perfect.”
Geromini says she also connected with the coaching staff during a campus visit.
“Coach Jordan and Coach Shore are both great coaches. I definitely will be learning a lot from both of them,” she says. “I ultimately chose Graceland because it is a place where I am going to excel both as an athlete and as a student.”
Geromini plans to study allied health, majoring in healthcare with a concentration in physical therapy or athletic training.
