Any top-ten finish is good, but Dalton Ghan’s score of 85 at the Greene Hills Invitational in Willard was even more promising than most. That’s because the course is the same one where Republic will compete in district play later this season.
Ghan finished tied for seventh out of nearly 70 golfers to earn a medal Thursday. Kendall Hamilton was three strokes behind him, with an 88.
The Tigers finished with a 362 overall, placing them fourth out of 14 teams. Kolby Hosp shot a 93, and Grant Holmes and Conner Powell each shot a 96.
Republic will return to Greene Hills on April 30 for the district tournament.
Tigers Take 5th at Marshfield Tourney
