The Republic JV tennis team won its home tournament to begin the spring tennis season. Head coach Dan Vales says the tournament was a “great day of tennis” for both veterans and newcomers to the squad. (Photos below)

“We brought in some good competition for this year’s tournament. Our guys had to step up to win some very competitive matches to clinch the team team title,” Vales says. “In particular, Will Berry and Kile Thornhill won some huge matches from tough competition from Branson. Brand new players Kialan Henagan, Trevor Tippie, Jacob Moody, and Kevin Stadtmueller had a great showing in medaling in the Flight Two doubles tournament.
