Dylan Brown had a hat trick Thursday night before the 1st half was even half over. Before coach Kevin Hauck pulled him from the game late in the 2nd half, Brown had scored five times. Meanwhile, the defense posted another shutout as Republic cruised past Neosho 7-1 at home.
Brown’s goals came in the 5th, 7th, and 11th minutes in the 1st half. He scored again in the 52nd and 55th. Not long after that, Josh Gallardo punched it in to make the score 6-0 Republic. Neosho scored its only goal of the game (by Bryan Perez) in the 66th minute, and three minutes later, Republic’s Elijah Masten finished the scoring.
The win improves Republic’s record to 10-2. The Tigers have won eight in a row. They haven’t lost since Nixa beat them on August 29th.
Republic will host Central next Tuesday.
