The top of the lineup lined it up, and varsity newcomer Katie Stiles drove it home. Stiles won the clinching match in a thrilling dual at Bolivar Tuesday night, helping Republic knock off the Liberators 5-4. Stiles won the decisive match at the end of the night, defeating Maddie Geurin 8-6.
The night started well for Republic, but took a bad turn in singles as Bolivar fought back, before Stiles brought home the winner.
” good win over a solid Liberator team,” says coach Eric Hanson. “We got off to a good start, winning two out of three doubles, but hd to win some very competitive singles matches.
Top singles player Kaitlyn Snyder and #2 Heather Georges were convincing in their singles and doubles victories. Snyder teamed with Molly Womack for a doubles win, and Georges paired with Stiles.
