Senior Tributes: Girls Basketball & Tigerettes

Katie Groves was escorted by her parents, Jeff Groves and Terri McHolland. She has danced for the Republic Tigerettes for one year and has cheered for Republic for three years. Katie has a GPA of 4.0 and is a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to attend Baylor University and study English.

Jasey Overholser was escorted by her parents, Jason and Amber Overholser. She has danced for the Republic Tigerettes for one year and has cheered for Republic for three years. Jasey has a GPA of 4.2 and is a member of the Student Council, National Honor Society, and the A+ Program. She plans to attend Ozarks Technical Community College and is undecided on what she will study.

Anna Strusz was escorted by her parents, Dave and Margaret Strusz. She has danced for the Republic Tigerettes for one year and has danced competitively for 14 years. Anna has a GPA of 4.0 and is a member of National Honor Society, the A+ Program, and Republic’s Soccer and Scholar Bowl teams. She plans to attend UMKC and study biology.

Kayla Warner was escorted by her mother, Brandy House. She has danced for the Republic Tigerettes for four years and has danced competitively for 16 years. Kayla has a GPA of 3.3 and is a member of FCCLA and the A+ Program. She plans to attend Drury University and major in Psychology and minor in Interior Design.

Taylor Fergen was escorted by her parents, Jeff and Terri Fergen. Taylor is a point guard for the Lady Tigers and has played basketball at Republic for four years. She has a 4.0 GPA and is a member of the A+ Program, National Honor Society, and Key Club. Taylor has signed with John Brown University to play basketball and study biology.

Madi Appleberry was escorted by her parents, Kenneth and April Appleberry. Madi is a guard for the Lady Tigers and has played basketball at Republic for four years. She is a member of the A+ Program and Republic’s cross country and track teams. Madi plans to attend Crowder College and study physical therapy.

Allyson Barrett was escorted by her parents, Brad and Cathy Barrett. Allyson is a forward for the Lady Tigers and has played basketball at Republic for four years. She has a 3.6 GPA and is a member of Key Club and the A+ Program. Allyson plans to attend Crowder College and study nursing.

Madi Beckham was escorted by her parents, Lewis and Kelly Beckham. Madi is a forward for the Lady Tigers and has played basketball at Republic for four years. She has a 4.1 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society, Key Club, and Republic’s golf team. Madi plans to attend Missouri State University and study general business.
