Republic’s Special Olympics bowling team competed in the Area Tournament recently at Sunshine Lanes. Coach Scott Weis says the weekend was a success for the participants.
“All the athletes and partners gave an outstanding effort. We had some athletes who accomplished getting a strike for the first time, as well as some athletes who earned their top scores since they have been competing,” Weis says.
