The Lady Tigers volleyball team won its second straight match Tuesday, going on the road and beating Springfield Central 25-23 20-25 25-18. The win improved Republic's record to 14-8 this season. That matches the team's win total for all of 2015, when Republic came on strong at the end of the year to win a surprise district championship.
Lauren O'Hara and Rachael Combs each had 12 kills for the Lady Tigers at Central. Bella Drennan racked up 38 assists, and Eryn Russell led the team with 12 digs.
The junior varsity team won in straight sets, 25-11 25-6. The freshman team won 25-13 25-18.
