Kaitlyn Snyder and Kaytlin Pearce fell short in their hunt for a district title. But they rebounded to win an even bigger prize during sectionals on Tuesday. Snyder and Pearce beat the doubles team from Raymore-Peculiar 6-4, 6-3, to advance to the state tournament.
As the #2 seed from District 11, Snyder and Pearce were matched up against the #1 seed from District 12, but they dispatched Ray-Pec in straight sets to qualify for state.
Kickapoo’s Raegan Brown and Claire Conway, who beat Snyder and Pearce to capture the district doubles title, also won their sectionals match to advance.
