Pitcher Rachel Rook was named Central Ozark Conference Player of the Year by league coaches, leading a group of five Lady Tigers who captured all-COC recognition. It’s the second year in a row that Rook was named the league’s top player.
Rook and shortstop Kami Holt were both unanimous selections to the All-COC 1st team. Third baseman Ally Stolte was named to the all-conference 1st team as well. Two other Lady Tigers — Sydney Phillips and Karleigh Summers — were honorable mention all-conference selections.
Republic won its second consecutive conference championship, and finished without a league loss for the second year in a row.
In eight conference games, Rook pitched 49 innings and allowed just two earned runs, for an earned run average of 0.29. She struck out 95 in league play.
Holt hit .417 in league play, with two doubles, a triple, and three home runs in eight games.
Stolte hit .529 in the conference season, with a slugging percentage of 1.059. She homered twice against COC opponents.
Phillips hit .333 in league play. Summers hit .400 against COC opponents.
All-District
Seven Lady Tigers earned all-district honors. Rook, Stolte, Holt, and Megan Thorne were named to the first team. Phillips, Summers, and Julia Higgins were named to the second team.
