Lady Tigers Make It 3 Straight with Home Win

Republic returned to the conference schedule Tuesday night, and stayed in the win column. The Lady Tigers picked up a win over Branson in two sets, 25-23 25-19.

Lauren O’Hara led the Lady Tigers with nine kills and one block. Bella Drennan had 19 assists. Eryn Russell had 14 digs, and Lexi Long contributed three service aces.

It was the second win in two nights for the Lady Tigers, who overcame a big deficit in the first set against Central Monday night to pick up a non-conference road win. Coach Piper Wright says Monday’s win showed the team’s resilience.

“We just did not give up. We were down eight points at one point and came back for a win,” she says. “(We) made some errors the second set. We were able to fight our way through it.”

Tuesday’s win improves Republic’s record to 15-8 overall. The Lady Tigers are now 3-3 in the conference.

The JV team won 25-22 27-25, and the freshmen lost 23-25 20-25.
