Coming off their only loss of the 2016 season, Republic wasted no time getting back in the win column. The Tigers swept Hillcrest 9-0 Tuesday at home, and it didn’t take them very long to do it.
Republic won all three doubles matches for the eighth time in nine tries this season, losing only five games in the process. The Tigers also swept singles. Only one match — the #3 singles match between Gabe Bandfield and Hillcrest’s Josh Liming — was even close. Bandfield won 9-7.
