Ozark went on the attack against the Republic Lady Tigers from the very start, controlling possession and putting pressure on keeper Jessica Laster and the Republic defense in a 6-0 Central Ozark Conference win at Republic Thursday.
Ozark scored its first goal less than nine minutes into the game and scored again five minutes later to make it 2-0. By the time halftime rolled around, it was 5-0.
Republic re-grouped in the second half, holding Ozark to just one score after the break.
It’s the second straight COC loss for Republic, who dropped a match at Neosho earlier in the week. The Lady Tigers are now 6-5 overall.
Republic plays against Sullivan tomorrow night.
