The Missouri State High School Activities Association has issued its class and district assignments for football and basketball for the next two years. Republic will compete in Class 5 in both sports.
Football
In football, Republic will compete in Class 5 District 5. They’re joined by Carthage, Neosho, Nixa, Parkview, and Willard.
The adjacent district in the bracket — District 6 — includes Columbia Battle, Belton, Columbia Hickman, Raytown, Ruskin, and Sedalia Smith-Cotton.
The other group of southwest Missouri teams — Branson, Springfield Central, Springfield Glendale, Lebanon, Ozark, and Waynesville — compete on the other half of the bracket, in District 4.
Basketball
Both the Tigers and Lady Tigers will compete in Class 5 District 12 in basketball. The other teams in that district are Carthage, Joplin, Neosho, and Nixa.
District 11, adjacent to Republic in the bracket, includes Branson, Glendale, Kickapoo, Ozark, and Parkview.
