Republic’s tennis newcomers held their own in a JV dual at Nixa Tuesday, turning in 20 wins out of 47 overall matches on a busy day on the courts. Sixteen of the 22 JV players are new to tennis, making the 20-27 record a “pretty good result,” according to coach Dan Vales.
Molly Wommack won the top spot in JV singles with an impressive 4-1 win. Newcomers Megan Branstetter, Brylee Manes, and Taytum Carter combined to go 6-0 in singles play.
