Webb City stayed undefeated with a 7-2 win over Republic on the tennis courts at Republic High School Friday evening. The Cardinals’ OB King handed Michael Nacy his first loss of the season, 8-5, in the #1 singles flight.
Bradley Hendrix was the only Republic player to win his singles match, in the #2 slot. He defeated Quentin Kolb 8-6.
In doubles, Nacy and Hendrix paired together for the first time this season, after playing together most of last year. They defeated King and Kolb in a tiebreaker, 9-8 (7-5), for the only other Republic win of the day.
The Webb City JV squad also swept its matches, 9-0.
Webb City is now 5-0 this season. Republic falls to 1-2. They travel to Branson for a match Monday.
