Michael Nacy was a bright spot at the top of the lineup in doubleheader losses Thursday at Gillenwaters Tennis Complex in Springfield. The Tigers lost to Kickapoo 6-3 and to Nixa 8-1. Nacy won both his singles matches, defeating Brandon Craig of Kickapoo 8-0 and Zachary Gardner of Nixa 8-3.
Bradley Hendrix teamed with Nacy to win the #1 doubles match against Nixa 8-0. Hendrix also dominated his singles match against Nixa with an 8-3 victory over George Win.
Hendrix and Nacy were upset in their doubles match against Nixa, 9-7. It was only the third time they’ve lost a match while playing together.
Despite their losses, Jacob Overturf and Gabe Bandfield continued to show improvement as a doubles team. They lost in competitive doubles matches against Nixa (5-8) and Kickapoo (5-8).
