The Southwest Missouri Football Coaches Association has selected eight Republic Tigers on their all-area team. The teams combine the best of Classes 5 and 6 in all of southwest Missouri.
Defensive lineman Bradley Wright led the way as a member of the first team. Wright had 22 tackles and two sacks, despite playing only about half the season because of an injury.
Junior offensive lineman Skyler Hale, junior tailback Jerney Jones, junior defensive end Tyler Puckett, and senior linebacker Blake Fanning were named to the all-area 2nd team.
Three Tigers earned honorable mention. They were quarterback Jake Smith, wingback Jace DuVall, and linebacker Zach Jester.
