Lady Tigers Win Home Meet; Canfield Takes 1st

The Lady Tigers cross country team had its best performance of the year at home Tuesday, winning the overall team championship at the Republic Cross Country meet. Republic runners took three of the top four spots, with freshman Brylee Manes taking first place with a time of 21:44. Destinee Tyk was second, at 22:03. Madi Appleberry was fourth with 22:45. Taytum Carter finished seventh, running the course in 22:55. Payton Coskey finished in 24:52, and Sara Wilken turned in a time of 28:07.

Philip Canfield ran the boys race in 16:58, winning by 24 seconds over the second-place finisher, Tony Miceli of Reeds Spring. Chad Parker, CJ Richardson, Owen Davis, Aaron Scobee also competed for Republic.

Morgan Prunty won the JV girls race, and McKae Geromini finished eighth.

Ryker Strong won the junior high boys race. Alex Leonard was sixth, Elijah Masten was 8th, Sean Cross was 9th, and Spenser Waller was 10th.
