Republic’s K-Train kept rolling Thursday night. Rachel Rook racked up 12 more strikeouts in just five innings, leading the Lady Tigers to a 10-0 rout of Neosho in a COC game.
Rook struck out the first eight batters she faced and allowed just one hit. She also walked two batters.
The Lady Tigers jumped in front with three runs in the 1st inning and a single run in the 2nd. They added three runs in the 4th and 5th to put the Wildcats away early.
Emily Hall was 3-for-3 with four runs batted in to lead the Lady Tigers. Molly Zinecker drove in three runs and had a couple of base hits. Lauren Strobel, Abby Norris, and Morgan Cantrell were also 2-for-3.
Republic improves to 13-3. The win also puts the Lady Tigers in line for a #1 seed in district play, with wins over both Neosho and Webb City.
