The Republic volleyball team picked up its first win of the season Monday: a straight-set victory on the road at Marshfield, 25-20 25-14. Republic got five kills apiece from Michayla Shanks and Rowan Page-Brennan. Lynn Kreul pitched in with ten assists.
Jera Pipkin contributed seven digs and two service aces for the Lady Tigers. Shanks also had two service aces to go with two blocks.
Republic improves to 1-4. Their next match is Tuesday at Kickapoo.
The junior varsity Lady Tigers won 25-17 29-27. The freshmen won 25-12 17-25 15-12.
