Republic’s volleyball team jumped ahead on the road at Carthage, but the blue Tigers rallied for a win at home over Republic, 15-25 25-17 25-21.
Michayla Shanks had 12 kills and Jera Pipkin added 15 digs in a losing cause for Republic. Emily Preston led the team with 29 assists at setter. Micah Mansker and Brooke Stanfield had two blocks apiece for the Lady Tigers.
The loss drops Republic to 2-8-2 overall. They’re 0-1 in COC play.
The Republic JV team won 25-22 25-19.
