The Lady Tigers tennis team pushed through a tough night to gut out a 5-4 win over Branson on the road Tuesday.
After winning two of three doubles matches, Republic lost the #1 and #2 singles matches, but won #5 and #6. In the middle of the lineup, two Republic players needed medical breaks during their matches, but Kaytlin Pearce, suffering from a stomach bug, managed to come from behind for a singles victory that ended up deciding the match.
The win was the seventh in a row for the Lady Tigers, and puts them in position to possibly capture a share of the Central Ozark Conference title, depending on the outcome of other matches.
